LASY-Control Interface
12 to university

The LASY-Control Interface [610, 611] offers various option for programming

1. Programming in Teach-in mode without computer to store switching sequences that are up to 3 minutes in length.

2. Programming the Interface using the Display/off-line programmable Module [102]. This programmable module plugs into the Interface. Thirty-two commands in 8 steps can be programmed and the total unit can then run as a self-standing unit, without being connected to the computer. For example 4 lamps, or 1 motor + 2 lamps, or 2 motors controlled by up to 8 digital or 4 analog inputs.

3. If the interface is used together with the computer, no extra slot card is required. If it is connected to one of the serial ports of the computer (RS 232). The interface has 4-Bidirectional outputs to control 4 motors (or 8 lamps with the distribution module[62207]). 4-Analog inputs, 8-Digital (on/off) inputs.

3.1 With the expansion module [103] the inputs and outputs of the Interface will be doubled if this unit is plugged into the basic Interface. The system will then have: 8-Bidirectional outputs 16-Digital (on/off) inputs 8-Analog inputs.

4. All inputs and outputs of the interface are short-circuit-proof. The outputs can switch outputs of up to max. 15 watt. Output voltages of up to 12 volts in polarity and rating can be switched and the interface can evaluate voltages of 0-5 V and resistances of 0-50 kOhm on the analog inputs.

5. The LASY-interface is small and the dimensions fit in the structural module of the LASY-system so that it can be easily integrated in the models.

601 Starter Set for Control

Contains 96 pieces consisting of:
- LASY plug-in gear boxes
- LASY Motor
- Magnetic sensors
- A light sensor
- Light and other elements
- Student guide (C 720) is also included in this set

The students get familiarized with the use of the lights, sensors, motors and gear boxes. Students can also build and control models of sequential lights, traffic light, magnetic key codes, a kitchen/industrial mixer, a rotary table in a work station, a light spot scanner and a gate in a parking garage. It covers the concept of communication, manufacturing and construction.

602 Add-on Set

Contains 102 pieces. Add the contents of this set to the 601 and then build all the 14 models shown in the Student guide (C 720).
